Rolling out a company-wide rebrand — and making people love it
At the end of 2019, Netology kicked off a large-scale rebranding that reshaped the company’s communication strategy — and even the structure of the business itself. The process was led by two creative agencies.
— Coordinated collaboration between the external agency team and our in-house designers
— Mapped out the scope of pages and interfaces to redesign and planned the rollout roadmap
— Helped every department adopt the new style — from banners and presentations to landing pages, social media, and product interfaces. Supported teammates in overcoming the initial resistance and growing to love the new look
— Organized 1-on-1 sessions and designer mastermind meetups where we helped each other translate the new branding into day-to-day tasks and shared stylistic techniques
— Personally redesigned numerous pages, media assets, and interface elements, and worked closely with frontend developers throughout the implementation process
As the Head of Design on Netology’s side, I oversaw the implementation of the new visual style. It was a complex and exciting challenge that taught me a lot and pushed me to grow.
✦ How to navigate a long-term, high-complexity project. I learned to manage timelines, align multiple stakeholders, and keep momentum across different departments and teams over several months.
✦ The value of trust in creative leadership. I realized how important it is to step back at the right moment — to give space, trust the team’s instincts, and let designers find their own solutions.
